In pursuit of my Photo of theDay, and in keeping with my Exploring Waco theme, I took a quick trip to the zoo. Luckily, we are zoo members, and I was able to enter and walk through on my lunch hour. The animals seemed to be having a day off, lazing in the sun and definitely not feeling the need to entertain. A couple of deer-sort of animals looked positively surprised to see me, as did the giraffes.

Quiet Day at the Cameron Park Zoo
In pursuit of my Photo of theDay, and in keeping with my Exploring Waco theme, I took a quick trip to the zoo. Luckily, we are zoo members, and I was able to enter and walk through on my lunch hour. The animals seemed to be having a day off, lazing in the sun and definitely not feeling the need to entertain. A couple of deer-sort of animals looked positively surprised to see me, as did the giraffes.

ReplyDeleteWow a zoo right in your own town, I have to drive close to 2 hours to see a giraffe, I'm jeallous!
That is an AWESOME zoo picture!!! No fence in sight! :) And a fun way to spend your lunch hour too!

ReplyDeleteI agree.. I'd love to be able to visit the zoo any day of the week! The closest zoo to us is the National Zoo in DC... great zoo but quite a trip and never a quiet easy day! love your photo and your tour!
