Long shadows and bright sky -- a typical Central Texas winter afternoon. The live oak has leaves but the pecans are bare. I thought it would be fun to show the house in all four seasons. Our house was built in 1957. We moved in in August of 2008 and we've had some updating done: electric, HVAC, new water heater, master bath retiled. But I'm most excited because this year we will have the oak floors, currently covered with carpet, refinished.
Such a crisp, pretty photo! Looks like a beautiful day. How fun to have home improvements done!
ReplyDeleteSome day I'm going to get to Texas for a visit and I'm coming in the wintertime!
ReplyDeleteLove the huge tree in the front! What I would give for some beautiful mature trees other then pine or sweetgums!
ReplyDeleteoh, this is the type of house I want.. an older brick rambler. and in a warm climate! love the live oak... Florida lost so many from the hurricanes in 2004...3 in a row and Mom's came down with the last one.. on her house!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! It will be fun to see your house in each season. I might have to try that, cept then everyone would see I didn't clean out my flower beds this fall. LOL Maybe I'll start with spring. LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is a great photo. I love that idea of a photo in each season. Hope everything goes smoothly with the oak floors.
