Keeping Rachel's room has been a challenge from Day 1. We have tried everything -- threats, incentives, ignoring, cleaning it, reorganizing it... Other than the couple of months when we were selling our old house and I was on her like white on rice to keep it clean, it's been a disaster. The latest plan is this:
She wants the privilege of staying up an extra half hour. So, at 9 p.m., I check her room. If she gets all checkmarks, she can stay up and watch an extra half hour of TV in her room.She requested we rearrange her room so she could watch TV in bed during that half hour, so Paul moved it along the wall.
Let's hope for the best.
So like a pretty good plan! You always have to figure out what floats their boat!
