
Today at lunchtime I headed toward downtown Waco and took a walk along the north side of the Brazos River. The river was actually called "Brazos de Dios" or Arms of God. I think that's beautiful. This is the view of downtown. Waco's downtown is pretty small even though it is the county seat. You can see the white dome of the courthouse in the middle of the photo.

I love mimosas. The tree kind. Well, I like the orange juice and champagne kind, too, but what we have here is a Mimosa tree in bloom.

Walking westward, you could be out in the wilderness someplace. Almost.

And, then, there's the giant catfish on the old rusted truck. No Place But Texas....
Arms of God as a name for a river--I agree with you, it's a beautiful name. That catfish truck, though--what a hoot!
