Our church had "Art in August" this month, and this was a project led by one of the very talented women in our church. She purchased 12 x 12 patterns and took them to Kinko's to increase to large panel size (24 x 24?). She had participants cut out the pattern pieces in cloth and then she ironed onto black backing. The one above was in the window with light shining on it, looking very much to me like "In the Beginning..."
Here are several panels laid on on the table.
The one they worked on today was Moses and the Burning Bush. I think the fabric choices are incredible.
