I took off work early and drove to Temple, Texas, about 30 minutes away, to see the orthopedic doctor at Scott & White. I got turned around just finding the hospital, but a nice lady at the information desk escorted me to the correct place to check in.

I have been having some pain in my right shoulder, on down to a numbness in my fingers. The x-rays of my shoulder only showed some minor arthritis, so he scheduled me for an MRI of my neck next Friday. I was able to get in to have Nerve Conduction Velocity test on my wrist and forearms. The technician hooked up electrodes to about 10 places on each hand/forearm and "ouch!" shocked me. If someone had alow threshold for pain I can see that this test would be unbearable. Now we'll see what's going on.
Could it possibly be Carpal Tunnel? I have that and I often have pain going from my shoulder to my fingers (and numbness in my fingers, too)
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, hope they figure it out soon.
