Six Flags

We spent most of the day at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, about a two-hour drive from our home. We bought season tickets for our family this year instead of having birthday parties. Stephanie had mapped out all of the roller coasters to ride but Mom liked the slower and less exciting Runaway Mine Train.

Stephanie bravely rode the Superman by herself, which pulls you up 32.5 stories at 45 mph.

Rachel posed in front of the Batmobile but declined to ride the Batman ride: 50 mph with dizzying curves. Stephanie, of course, wanted to ride and since none of us would go, stood in line for an hour by herself. When she got to the front of the line, ready to board the first line of seats, most of the park lost power. She wanted to wait, but after another hour, gave it up. We left the park, past long, long, long lines of people asking for refunds or rainchecks.
Paul and I both love to take photos, surprisingly, not always the same things!
